Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get my API keys? +
You need keys from each AI provider. All three have free tiers to get started:
Claude: console.anthropic.com
GPT-4o: platform.openai.com
Gemini: aistudio.google.com
Once you have them, paste each one into the Settings tab and hit Save.
Are my API keys safe? +
Yes. Your keys are stored exclusively in your device’s local storage — never on our servers, never logged, never shared. BGP Studios cannot see your keys. You can clear them anytime from the Settings tab.
Why is my synthesis failing? +
The most common causes are: (1) an API key is missing or entered incorrectly — check the Settings tab and confirm each key shows KEY SET in green. (2) Your API account has run out of credits — log into each provider’s dashboard to check your balance. (3) A provider is experiencing an outage — try again in a few minutes.
How much does it cost to run? +
Each synthesis run costs roughly $0.01–0.10 depending on prompt length, billed directly to your API accounts. Claude and GPT-4o are slightly more expensive per token; Gemini Flash is significantly cheaper. All three providers offer free trial credits to new accounts.
Can I use 1·3·1 with only one or two API keys? +
Yes. 1·3·1 will run whichever models have keys set and skip the rest. If only one key is set, you’ll get that model’s output directly with no synthesis pass needed. You’ll see which models contributed in the “via” line below each output.
What are model weights and how do I set them? +
Model weights tell the synthesis layer how much influence each model’s response should have on the final output. Set them in the Projects tab when creating or editing a project. Weights should add up to 100%. For example: Claude 50%, GPT-4o 30%, Gemini 20% means the final output leans heavily on Claude’s perspective.
How do I reset the onboarding modal? +
Open your browser’s developer tools (F12), go to the Application tab, find Local Storage, and delete the key named 131_onboarding_seen. Refresh the page and the modal will reappear. On iOS, delete and reinstall the app.
Is there a limit to how many times I can run? +
No limits from 1·3·1 itself. Your only limits are the rate limits and quotas set by each AI provider on your account. Check each provider’s dashboard if you’re hitting errors on rapid repeated runs.

Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 2026
The short version: 1·3·1 does not collect, store, or sell your personal data. Your API keys and usage data stay on your device. We have no user accounts and no analytics tracking.
Who We Are
1·3·1 is a product of BGP Studios. We build tools for creators and professionals. This privacy policy applies to the 1·3·1 iOS app and web application at one-three-one.vercel.app.
What We Collect
We collect nothing. 1·3·1 has no user accounts, no registration, no email capture, and no analytics SDK. We do not use cookies for tracking purposes.
Specifically, we do not collect:
- Your name, email address, or any personal identifiers
- Your prompts, resume content, or any text you enter into the app
- Your API keys
- Device identifiers or IP addresses
- Usage patterns, session data, or behavioral analytics
Your API Keys
1·3·1 operates on a Bring Your Own Keys (BYOK) model. When you enter API keys for Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI (GPT-4o), or Google (Gemini), those keys are stored exclusively in your device’s local storage. They are never transmitted to BGP Studios servers, never logged, and never shared with any third party.
Your keys are used solely to make API calls to the respective AI providers on your behalf. Those calls are routed through our server infrastructure only to prevent exposing your keys in client-side code — the content of those calls is not stored or logged by us.
Third-Party AI Providers
When you run a synthesis, your prompt is sent to one or more of the following AI providers:
- Anthropic — anthropic.com/privacy
- OpenAI — openai.com/privacy
- Google — policies.google.com/privacy
Each provider processes your prompt according to their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review those policies. BGP Studios does not control how these providers handle data submitted to their APIs.
Local Storage
1·3·1 stores the following data locally on your device only:
- Your API keys (encrypted in local storage)
- Your project presets and model weight settings
- Your audit log of past runs (prompt excerpts and timestamps)
- Onboarding completion status
This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to BGP Studios. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser or app local storage.
Server Infrastructure
1·3·1 is deployed on Vercel. Our server-side API routes act as a secure proxy to the AI providers — this keeps your API keys from being exposed in client-side code. Vercel may collect standard server logs (IP addresses, request timestamps) as part of normal infrastructure operation. We do not access or use these logs for any purpose. See Vercel’s privacy policy for details.
Children’s Privacy
1·3·1 is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has used the app in a way that raises privacy concerns, please contact us.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted at this URL with an updated date. Continued use of 1·3·1 after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

Every Fear Has a Story
Manny and the Bell – An Anthology Series
Every story begins somewhere different, with different characters, different circumstances, and a different fear.
Running quietly through each story is a phobia. Some are familiar. Some are unusual. Some are irrational. Others feel completely reasonable to the person living with them.
Manny and the Bell explores what happens when fear begins influencing the choices we make, the things we avoid, and the stories we tell ourselves.
Different stories. Different fears. One anthology.
